Imminent General Election?In preparation for a General Election, whenever it may come, Green Party candidates are being selected for the constitutencies in Luton and Bedfordshire. In Mid Beds, former county councillor Malcolm Bailey has been selected, and in Luton North Simon Hall is to be the candidate. The other four constituencies are being actively considered, with a decision to be announced nearer the time. See our new special General Election page for more details. |

On June 11th 2008 train company First Capital Connect trashed the cheap day return. Every passenger going from London to Luton, Flitwick or Bedford between 4:30 and 7:00p.m. now has to pay the full price fare - No Travel cards! and they will send you freepost recycling bags to send your items away. We get £1 for every cartridge that they recycle and up to £30 for every phone.
